A little bit of history about Leonard...
Leonard was founded in 1881. Our town received its name from Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Stiles. The city of Leonard was named in Mr. Leonard Stiles honor as he circulated the petition to establish a post office here. He was the first Post Master in Leonard appointed by Timothy O. Howe.
Leonard is located 37 miles south west of Fargo North Dakota. Leonard is a community of quiet surroundings and friendly people. The city offers a wide range of things to do! We have a beautiful city park, a little slice of heaven for many called the Leonard Golf Course, Fall Festival Days with many activities for all ages and so much more!
